Bay Area March of Dimes April 30, 2011

When I was young, my folks would take us to participate in The March of Dimes and we sure looked forward!   One year Andy Gibb (youngest brother of the family whose other members formed the Bee Gees) showed up as a guest appearance.  Another year was Robin Williams! (M0rk & Mindy days)  This might give you a hint of how old I am… lol

The March for Babies is the longest-running charitable event and the most recognized walking event in the nation whose mission is to improve the health of babies by preventing birth defects, premature birth, and infant mortality.   Sign up and get your donations in!

Did you know? The dime was chosen to honor President Franklin Delano Roosevelt due to his efforts in the founding of the National Foundation for Infantile Paralysis (later renamed the March of Dimes)
