Pablo Sandoval is back. I’m not claiming he’s back to what he was pre-injury, but he might be. His presence though was definitely felt last night, and while you could chalk the fact that every position player in the game (minus the 1 at-bat Stewart had) got a hit to the warm Arizona evening, I’m going to give Panda some credit. Everybody looked a little less miserable and I’m sure it lifted the burden of Ross, Huff and Schierholtz, who seem to take turns saving games for us lately.

Go Giants!

The economy is not what it once was and many people are now faced with what they have to do to make ends meet…

My Uncle has a spare bedroom and after the kids moved out, he decided to rent it!  Not a bad idea for $600 a month?

He gave me a call and we set him up with a full size Wallhugger Futon set that works perfect for the space! It cost him less than a grand delivered with a 5 Year warranty and will pay for itself after a couple months…

Do the kids have a tree house?

Wow, check out this blog on tree houses!           http://treehouseguy.wordpress.com/

Talk about neat!

When I was a kid, me and a buddy of mine build a tree house that was double a decker with a brick fire place and I thought we were cool!  lol  You know if I had kids and helped them build one, a futon wouldn’t be a bad idea for it!

Spare Bedroom Space?

The luxury of having a guest room that is only used for the use of your overnight guests is something that many people do not have the room for in their home. A futon with a high quality futon mattress in an extra bedroom can allow you to use the room when you don’t have guests staying with you.

Futons are the perfect choice for a quick bed for someone who is staying with you and can be folded up to turn the room into a sitting room or a place to curl up with a good book when you are home alone. To set up your guest bedroom to double as a sitting room, start with a good quality futon and futon mattress.

The Futon Shop in San Mateo has over 33 variety’s of Futons to try out!

Sleeping Tips!

Here are a couple of tips to help you get a good nights rest!

  • Set a regular bedtime. Go to bed at the same time every night.  Find a time when you normally feel tired, so that you don’t toss and turn.  Try not to break this routine on weekends when it may be tempting to stay up late. If you want to change your bedtime, help your body adjust by making the change in small daily increments, such as 15 minutes earlier or later each day.
  • Wake up at the same time every day.  If you’re getting enough sleep, you should wake up naturally without an alarm.  If you need an alarm clock to wake up on time, you may need to set an earlier bedtime.  As with your bedtime, try to maintain your regular wake–time even on weekends.
  • Nap to make up for lost sleep.  If you need to make up for a few lost hours, opt for a daytime nap rather than sleeping late. This strategy allows you to pay off your sleep debt without disturbing your natural sleep–wake rhythm, which often backfires in insomnia and throws you off for days.
  • Be smart about napping. While taking a nap can be a great way to recharge, especially for older adults, it can make insomnia worse. If insomnia is a problem for you, consider eliminating napping. If you must nap, do it in the early afternoon, and limit it to thirty minutes.
  • Fight after–dinner drowsiness. If you find yourself getting sleepy way before your bedtime, get off the couch and do something mildly stimulating to avoid falling asleep, such as washing the dishes, calling a friend, or getting clothes ready for the next day. If you give in to the drowsiness, you may wake up later in the night and have trouble getting back to sleep.

If the tips don’t help, you might want to take a look at your mattress?  It could be to firm or soft?
